UP govt issues directives allowing maximum 25 people in weddings, related functions

The Uttar Pradesh authorities on Tuesday issued contemporary directives allowing a maximum of 25 people to participate in marriage ceremony and different functions in view of the coronavirus pandemic. In a letter to district officers, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish Awasthi mentioned permission might be given for participation of maximum 25 invitees at a time for marriage ceremony and different functions, each in open and enclosed locations.

Awasthi mentioned that invitees should adjust to COVID-appropriate protocols, with the usage of masks and santisers.

Social distancing should be strictly adopted whereas making seating preparations, moreover making correct preparations for sanitation and cleanliness of bathrooms on the venue the place the perform is being organised, he mentioned in the order.

The accountability of complying with these situations might be that of organisers, the order mentioned.

In an order issued on April 20, a maximum of fifty people have been allowed in enclosed locations and 100 in open locations for weddings whereas following all essential precautions regarding COVID.
