No intimation from Centre of any new supply of vaccine for 18-44 age group as of yet: Atish

NEW DELHI:  Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s senior chief and MLA Atishi introduced the vaccination bulletin by means of a video deal with on Wednesday and said that vaccination for 18-44 can be halted 2 days from now as Covishield’s inventory will final solely for 3 days, Covaxin’s inventory is already over.

Atishi said that 1,05,357 vaccines had been administered, out of these 88,332 doses got their first doses; out of these almost 10,94,619 folks have acquired each their photographs and are totally vaccinated. 

Delhi has administered almost 48,00,705 doses up till now

Atishi made a humble attraction to the Centre to grasp the issue of vaccine scarcity in Delhi and supply ample vaccines on the earliest. 

Atishi mentioned, “Yesterday, on the 18th of May, 1,05,357 vaccines were administered, out of these 88,332 doses were given their first doses. We have acquired 45,44,250 doses for this class, out of which, 42,88,350 have been utilised. This means, 2,55,900 are nonetheless left with us. We expect one other inventory of Covishield for 45+ to reach within the subsequent 3 days. Hence, we hope that the immunisation of this class will proceed.”

“Covaxin’s stock has not been committed by the Centre, but we are in talks with them to initiate its supply, as a lot of people are going to be ready to take the second dose of Covaxin in the coming days. We have received 8,17,690 doses for this segment, and out of which 7,04,280 have been utilised. This means that as of today morning, we are left with 1,13,410 doses.”

“We haven’t been knowledgeable from the central authorities of any new supply for the 18-44 age group as of but. No commitments have been acquired from neither Bharat Biotech nor Serum Institute of India,” 

Atishi mentioned, including “We are hoping that the centre will understand this problem of vaccine shortage that Delhi is facing and will supply enough vaccine doses at the earliest.”
