‘Dev D’ Actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya Laments Not Being Able To Arrange A Hospital Bed For Deceased Mother & Missing Funeral

Mumbai: Famous actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya, who’s presently taking pictures in Turkey for a characteristic movie, is left in deep grief to know that his morther Gayatri Bhattacharya handed away in Kolkata after struggling a coronary heart assault. 

Dibyendu’s 72-year-old mom couldn’t get a mattress on time in any hospital which delayed in receiving therapy, resulting in her unlucky loss of life on May sixteenth.

The actor is shocked to know his mom’s demise. Owing to the difficulties in rescheduling some necessary scenes of the movie, the actor couldn’t fly again from Turkey to India for his mom’s funeral and the final rites. The actor continued taking pictures his untitled movie there.

In dialog with ABP News, Dibyendu stated, “I never carry my phone on the sets. When I returned to my hotel room, I saw my sister’s messages on my phone. I called her immediately. She told that beds are not available in Kolkata, and hospitals are seeing Covid negative reports before any patient is admitted to the hospital there. Sister said that she did not find such demand appropriate in this situation of emergency. Her friends in Kolkata helped to get my mother admitted to the hospital. But before she could get admitted in the hospital, she died.”

After receiving the information of his mom’s loss of life, Dibyendu wished to return to Kolkata however realised that he had greater than 15 days to return to his dwelling in Kolkata because of the restrictions on flights through the Corona interval and necessary quarantine circumstances.

“That day I had to shoot the film at night. Entire day I stayed back at my room and kept crying. No matter how old you get, no one is ever mentally prepared to loose their parents,” the actor stated.

Dibyendu went on to say that he carried out motion and comedian sequences that night time. “I understood the meaning of ‘The Show Must Go On’ at that time.”
