Days after netizens slammed Yuvika Chaudhary over her ‘casteist slur’ in a video and demanded her arrest, it’s now Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda who’s dealing with the wrath of indignant followers on Twitter after an outdated video of him making joke in poor style on former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati went viral.
In the video, the actor started by saying, “I think I will tell a very dirty joke.” The viewers laughed and cheered after the actor completed the joke.
The video didn’t go down effectively with a piece of netizens who has known as the actor’s behaviour “casteist”, “sexist” and likewise demanded his arrest.
Sharing the video, a person tweeted: “If this does not explain how casteist and sexist this society is, especially towards dalit women, i don’t know what will. the ‘joke’, the audacity, the crowd. randeep hooda, top bollywood actor talking about a dalit woman, who has been the voice of the oppressed.”
The hashtag ‘Arrest Randeep Hooda’ has been trending since Friday morning.
The Twitterati used #ArrestRandeepHooda and lashed out at him for a similar. A person wrote, “if this does not explain how casteist and sexist this society is, especially towards dalit women, i don’t know what will. the “joke”, the audacity, the crowd. randeep hooda, top bollywood actor talking about a dalit woman, who has been the voice of the oppressed.”
