US President Joe Biden on Sunday mentioned that he’ll press Russian President Vladimir Putin to respect human rights when the 2 leaders meet in June.
During a speech honoring the US vacation Memorial Day, Biden mentioned, “I’m meeting with President Putin in a couple weeks in Geneva making it clear we will not, we will not stand by and let him abuse those rights.”
The White House mentioned on Friday it was planning to transfer forward with the summit between the 2 leaders after Microsoft flagged a cyberattack on US authorities companies by Nobelium, the group behind final 12 months’s SolarWind hack that originated from Russia.
The Kremlin has mentioned it has no details about the most recent assault.
