Absence of this LdtF enhanced development defects and elevated the peptidoglycan-lipoprotein linkages within the micro organism.

The presence of this enzyme, nonetheless, decreased the degrees of peptidoglycan-bound lipoprotein, suggesting its function in modulating the peptidoglycan-lipoprotein linkages.
