Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday urged the minority group to undertake a “decent family planning policy” for inhabitants management to cut back poverty.

All stakeholders locally should come ahead and assist the federal government in serving to cut back poverty locally which is primarily due to an unabated improve in inhabitants, the chief minister mentioned on the event of completion of 30 days of his authorities.

“The government is the guardian of all poor people but it needs the support of the minority community in tackling the issue of population growth which is the root cause of poverty, illiteracy and consequent lack of proper family planning,” he mentioned. Sarma mentioned that his authorities will work in the direction of educating the ladies of the group in order that the issue may be tackled successfully.
