Abhinav Bindra will likely be a part of the Olympic torch relay that will likely be held from April 16 to July 26.
India’s first particular person gold medallist on the Olympic Games, Abhinav Bindra has been chosen as a torch bearer for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympic Games to be held within the French capital from July 26 to August 11.
Bindra, who received gold within the males’s 10m air rifle within the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008, will likely be a part of the Olympic torch relay that will likely be held from April 16 to July 26.

The Paris 2024 Olympic Torch Relay will begin its journey in France on 8 May 2024 with the flame arriving in Marseille forward of 68 days of journey throughout the French territories.
The torch relay will final 68 days throughout which it would cowl 65 territories together with 5 abroad territories. The relay will contain 10,000 torch bearers, together with 3000 torch bearers who will take part in Team Relays, and can go to 400 cities.
The torch will likely be lit close to Olympia in Greece and could have an preliminary journey within the nation which began the traditional Olympics. After being lit in Olympia, Greece, the route of the Olympic flame will begin its journey on sea, on board the Belem, an impressive three-masted ship that can cross the Mediterranean from Athens to Marseille.
The Olympic Torch Relay will then showcase the areas of France, from the mainland to its abroad departments and territories, providing everybody the chance to see the torch. The torch bearers had been chosen by way of an elaborate course of which began on June 1, 2023.
