ABP Assam Opinion Poll: BJP Expected Sweep Elections With 68-76 Seats; Congress Lags Behind With 43-51 Seats

ABP C-Voter Assam Elections 2021 Opinion Poll: As the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Friday evening announced the dates for much-awaited Assembly Elections in Assam, ABP News along with C-Voter conducted an opinion poll to predict the voter’s mood in the north eastern state. 

As per the data collected in ABP Network-C Voter survey, the BJP led NDA alliance is expected to register huge victory with at least 72 seats. As per the survey, the saffron party led alliance is likely to secure 43.8 per cent vote share.

The survey results projected Congress led UPA alliance to stand second with 47 seats and 41.4 per cent vote share. Meanwhile, BPF is predicted to win only 4 seats and Others 3 with 1.1 per cent and 13.7 per cent vote share. 

It is to be noted that in 2016, NDA alliance was able to secure 74 seats with a 41.9 per cent vote share. While main rival Congress-led UPA alliance got 26 seats with 31 per cent votes to its name. 

The Election Commission of India has announced to conduct Assam Assembly Polls in three phases on March 27, April 1, and April 6. Counting of votes and result announcement will be done on May 2. Soon after the announcement of polls were made on February 26, the Model Code Of Conduct came into effect in Assam. Check complete Schedule here

Keeping the Coronavirus situation in mind, arrangements will be made for candidates to file their nominations online and voting will be allowed for an additional hour. Hand gloves will be provided to the voter, for signing on the voter register and pressing the button of EVM for voting. Before this, masks will be given to those who are not wearing one.
