ACME Group to set up green-hydrogen plant at Odisha for ₹27,000 crore


Renewable vitality entity ACME Group has signed an settlement with Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Ltd. (TSSEZL) to set up a inexperienced hydrogen and inexperienced ammonia mission at the Gopalpur Industrial Park (GIP) in Odisha. Under the definitive settlement, ACME Clean Energy Private Ltd. (ACME Group) will purchase 343 acre of land in TSSEZL’s Gopalpur Industrial Park (GIP), positioned in Ganjam district of Odisha, to set up the inexperienced hydrogen and derivatives unit. 

The whole funding on this mission by ACME Group is estimated to be ₹27,000 crore, which will likely be invested in phases.

ACME Group plans to set up an almost 1.3 MTPA inexperienced ammonia manufacturing facility at GIP. This inexperienced ammonia will likely be produced from inexperienced hydrogen, and the manufacturing amenities will likely be powered by renewable energy.

The inexperienced ammonia produced at this facility will likely be exported to markets within the west and east from the prevailing Gopalpur Port facility, which is close to the mission web site. The utility hall between Gopalpur Industrial Park and Gopalpur Port offers a devoted hall for clean logistics and pipeline connectivity, TSSEZL stated.

Manikanta Naik, Managing Director, Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Ltd., stated, “With plug-and-play infrastructure, multi-modal logistics connectivity, ready environmental clearance, and a clear land title, Gopalpur Industrial Park, in a very short span since its inception, is fast emerging as the preferred investment destination of India.”

“We have already got some valued shoppers operational within the industrial park and we’re eagerly trying ahead to much more traders coming ahead, including to the commercial progress of the area, “he added.

TSSEZL, a 100% subsidiary of Tata Steel, is growing its flagship industrial park, Gopalpur Industrial Park (GIP), in Odisha’s Ganjam district. The firm goals to develop the GIP as an rising manufacturing hub for each home and export-oriented industries, it stated.
