MUMBAI: Actor-director Deepak Tijori filed a case of dishonest towards producer Mohan Gopal Nadar at Amboli Police Station in Mumbai. The actor claimed in his FIR that he was duped of Rs 2.6 crores by the accused. The FIR was lodged on March 15. Mumbai Police have already registered a case towards Nadar underneath sections 420 (dishonest and dishonesty inducing supply of property) and 406 (felony breach of belief) of the IPC and initiated a probe into the matter.
According to the Mumbai Police, the actor mentioned that Nadar joined him to co-produce a thriller titled ‘Tipppsy’, which Deepak was imagined to direct.
Deepak informed Police, that the movie was scheduled to be shot in London in 2019. Keeping that in thoughts, Deepak has entrusted Nadar with Rs 2 crores and 60 lakhs. But Deepak claimed that the movie was not accomplished in time. After asking for the reimbursement of the cash repeatedly, Nadar dodged him by giving numerous excuses.
Moreover, Deepak claimed in his FIR that the cheques supplied by Nadar saved bouncing. Then Deepak determined to lodge a criticism towards him.
The Officer-in-charge at Amboli mentioned that they’ve began the investigation. No arrest has been made thus far.
