Adar Poonawalla exits Panacea Biotec, sells entire stake for Rs 118 crore

New Delhi: Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla, for Rs 118 crore, offloaded his entire stake in Panacea Biotec amounting to five.15 per cent shareholding of the agency by an open market transaction.

The shares had been picked by Serum Institute of India (SII), in accordance with information company PTI.

As per BSE block deal knowledge, Poonawalla offered 31,57,034 scrips he held within the agency at a value of Rs 373.85 per share, taking the full deal worth to Rs 118.02 crore.

The shares had been picked by SII on the similar value, by a separate transaction.

As per shareholding knowledge for March 2021 quarter, each Poonawalla and SII had been public shareholders within the agency and held 5.15 per cent and 4.98 per cent stake in Panacea, respectively.

Shares of Panacea Biotec on Monday ended at Rs 384.9 apiece, 1.16 per cent greater over the earlier shut.

Separately, Sarda Mines offered shares value Rs 227.66 crore in Jindal Steel and Power Ltd.

Over 52.74 lakh scrips had been offloaded on the value of Rs 431.62 apiece.

Jindal Steel and Power inventory on Monday ended 4.65 per cent greater at Rs 436.55.
