JAIPUR: In a serious improvement, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday introduced his authorities’s determination to create 19 new districts and three new divisions within the state. The Chief Minister made these bulletins whereas addressing the state meeting on Friday. With the formation of 19 new districts, the state will now have a complete of 50 districts, the Chief Minister mentioned.
Interestingly, Gehlot made these bulletins forward of the upcoming meeting polls in Rajasthan.
“We received demands for the formation of some new districts in the state. We had formed a high-level committee to examine these proposals and we have received the final report…I now announce the formation of new districts in the state,” Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot informed the Assembly.

CM Gehlot additionally, in the meantime, accredited Rs 37 crore for varied initiatives that intention to extend irrigation effectivity and forestall water wastage in canals and dams.
As half of the initiatives, the Kagdi dam in Banswara district can be renovated at a value of Rs 10 crore. Another Rs 11.73 crore can be used to line the canal from the Gajadharpura sewage therapy plant to Kalakh dam in Jaipur’s Kalwad tehsil, the federal government mentioned in an announcement.
The canal from Mora Sagar dam in Sawaimadhopur district’s Bamanwas tehsil can be lined at an estimated value of Rs 15.03 crore, it mentioned.
The initiatives will enhance irrigation effectivity and minimise water wastage. In the Budget for 2022-23, Gehlot had introduced initiatives price Rs 800 crore for the renovation of dams and canals. Of these, works price Rs 611.95 crore has been accredited.
Gehlot additional informed the meeting that the Rajasthan authorities will spend Rs 362.13 crore to offer ingesting water in 367 villages of the Udaipur district. The Chief Minister mentioned that he has accredited the monetary proposal for the venture that may allow ingesting water provide to those villages from the Som-Kamala-Amba dam.
The monetary approval was given in compliance with Gehlot’s announcement within the 2023-24 Budget.
