Air India information: After the Tata Group took over the loss-making Air India in January final 12 months, the airline prolonged the second voluntary retirement offer to its non-flying employees on Friday.

According to communication, the most recent offer might be open to everlasting normal cadre officers who’ve reached the age of 40 or older and have served the airline for a minimal of 5 years repeatedly. Also, workers within the administrative and unskilled classes who’ve served repeatedly for at the very least 5 years are eligible.

Around 2,100 workers might be eligible for voluntary retirement offer

According to reviews, a complete of round 2,100 workers might be eligible to avail the most recent voluntary retirement offer. Currently, the airline has a staff power of about 11,000 individuals, together with flying and non-flying staff. In June 2022, Air India launched the primary section of the voluntary retirement offer.

Employees might be supplied ex-gratia quantity as one-time profit

“The employees who apply for voluntary retirement from 17th March 2023 to 30th April 2023 will also be provided with an ex-gratia amount as a one-time benefit. “Eligible workers who apply up to thirty first March 2023 will obtain Rs 1 lakh over and above the ex-gratia quantity,” the communication stated.

In the primary section of the voluntary retirement offer, each flying and non-flying staff had been coated. At that point, round 4,200 workers had been eligible and out of them, round 1,500 individuals opted for the offer, PTI reported citing sources.
