Bharti Airtel on January 8 stated it has obtained a notice from the telecom division for an alleged violation of subscriber verification norms, entailing a penalty of ₹3.57 lakh.
In a BSE submitting, the telecom operator knowledgeable that the notice pertains to Bihar LSA and was obtained on January 8, 2024.
“We submit the details of notice received by the company from the Department of Telecommunications,” Airtel stated, informing concerning the “notice imposing a penalty of ₹3,57,000 for alleged violation of subscriber verification norms”.
Citing particulars, the corporate stated it pertained to an alleged violation of phrases and situations regarding subscriber verification norms below the Licence Agreement, in accordance with a pattern buyer utility type (CAF) audit carried out by the Department of Telecom for September 2023.
