Aanand L Rai’s new directorial enterprise, Raksha Bandhan starring Akshay Kumar, Sadia Khatib, Smriti Shrikant, Deepika Khanna, and Sahajmeen Kaur with Bhumi Pednekar is ready to launch in theatres. The forged is busy with the promotional occasions in full swing. Now, the producers are planning to launch the movie on a digital platform, precisely 12 weeks after its theatrical launch. Tipped to be the greatest household entertainer of 2022, Raksha Bandhan is ready to launch in theatres on August 11.

Set to launch this weekend on the eve of Raksha Bandhan, theatres and multiplexes homeowners are wanting ahead to the movie bringing in enormous enterprise. A theatre proprietor reveals, “We are relieved that the film will have a digital release only after three months. This gives us an opportunity to screen the film to packed theatres for the next couple of weeks.”
In Raksha Bandhan, director Rai has tried to dwell on the bond that brothers and sisters share. The story revolves round Lala Kedarnath (Kumar) and his relentless efforts to get his 4 sisters (Sadia Khatib, Smriti Shrikant, Deepika Khanna, and Sahajmeen Kaur) married whereas upholding his household values. His sense of accountability in the direction of his sister comes in the approach of his personal marriage along with his childhood sweetheart Sapna (Pednekar).
Directed by Aanand L Rai, produced by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma in affiliation with Zee Studios, Alka Hiranandani and Cape of Good Films, written by Himanshu Sharma & Kanika Dhillon, the music of Raksha Bandhan has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya and lyrics are by Irshad Kamil.
