The annual Amarnath Yatra will begin on June 28 and can conclude on August 22.
The pilgrimage often begins in June-July on the standard 36-km-long Pahalgam route in Anantnag district and the shorter 14-km-long Baltal route in Ganderbal district. It concludes in August, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan.
A senior military officer on Tuesday stated the safety state of affairs within the restive south Kashmir has witnessed important enchancment and that the military is ready to meet challenges like the specter of improvised explosive units (IEDs) and the conduct of incident-free annual Amarnath Yatra.
