Retired Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu has withdrawn his identify from Major League Cricket 2023 due to private causes on Saturday, July 8. The veteran batter was signed for Texas Super Kings final month after asserting his retirement from Indian Premier League after the conclusion of the 2023 version. 

Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is wanting to formulate its policy for players, together with retired cricketers, to stop them from taking part in in abroad franchise cricket leagues. BCCI’s resolution is reportedly linked with Rayudu’s sudden resolution to pull again from MLC 2023, which kicks off on July 14.

The BCCI has been strict with its policy for players relating to their participation in abroad leagues. Players usually are not allowed to function in abroad franchise leagues and so they want NOC (No Objection Certificate) from BCCI to play in different tournaments.

According to a report from IndianSpecific, the BCCI is wanting to introduce a cooling-off interval in players’ contracts to stop them from becoming a member of abroad leagues. Retired players won’t be able to take part in abroad tournaments for a one-year interval and that may hamper Rayudu’s possibilities to function in in style tournaments SA20 and ILT20 as nicely.

BCCI is reportedly not proud of players instantly becoming a member of international leagues after worldwide or IPL retirement. “We’ll come out with a policy to prevent the trend of pre-determined retirement. The office-bearers will make a policy and send it back for approval,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah informed reporters after the Apex Council assembly.

BCCI’s resolution to regulate policy for retired players was taken throughout its Apex Council assembly held in Mumbai on Friday, July 7. The Indian cricket board additionally took a last resolution to ship its males’s second-string group and girls’s senior group to Asian Games 2023 scheduled to be held in September 2023 at Hangzhou.
