Amid Seat Sharing Talks With Congress, Samajwadi Party Names Candidates For 5 More LS Seats

Amidst seat-sharing talks with Congress, the Samajwadi Party (SP) on Tuesday launched its third record of 5 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh. The Akhilesh Yadav-led occasion fielded senior chief Shivpal Yadav from Budaun parliamentary constituency.

Shivpal Yadav, the uncle of occasion president Akhilesh Yadav, is an MLA from the Jaswantnagar meeting constituency in Etawah district.

The different candidates on the record embrace Surendra Singh Patel from Varanasi, Iqra Hasan from Kairana), Praveen Singh Aron from Bareilly and Ajendra Singh Rajput from Hamirpur.

With this record, the Samajwadi Party has declared the names of 31 candidates for the Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh thus far.

Seat-Sharing Talks With Congress

The SP, on Monday, provided 17 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh to the Congress, the occasion stated.

“We have given a final offer of 17 Lok Sabha seats to the Congress. Akhilesh Yadav’s participation in the Nyay Yatra in Raebareli on Tuesday will depend on their acceptance,” Rajendra Chaudhary, the Samajwadi Party’s chief spokesperson stated.

The state of Uttar Pradesh has 80 Lok Sabha constituencies.
