Andhra Pradesh: Presumed dead, 75-year-old COVID-recovered patient returns home

New Delhi: In a case weird case, a 75-year outdated girl presumed to be lifeless by her household on account of COVID-19, returned home on Wednesday — 15 days after her final rites had been carried out.

The hospital authorities had handed over a wrapped physique which her household took for cremation and hurriedly carried out the final rites fearing COVID-19 an infection.

Mutyala Girijamma a resident of in Jaggaiahpet city of Krishna district was contaminated with coronavirus and was subsequently declared lifeless and cremated on May 15. She returned after greater than two weeks of her household finishing her final rites to the shock of her members of the family.

She was admitted to Vijayawada authorities hospital on May 12 and her husband Gaddaiah met her on the hospital the following day. But on May 15 he was knowledgeable by hospital authorities Girijamma had succumbed to her sickness.

As per members of the family, the hospital authorities informed the husband to seek for his spouse’s physique within the mortuary. Also, Girijamma`s son Ramesh died of coronavirus on May 23.

“A prayer meeting for both Girijamma and Ramesh was conducted at Jaggaiahpet on Tuesday,” Girijamma`s nephew Nagu informed ANI. 

Girijamma mentioned she was disillusioned that no person got here to choose her up after she recovered from the an infection. She needed to journey to her city Jaggaiahpet on Wednesday by herself a lot to the shock of her family members and neighbours.

Meanwhile, Gaddayya expressed anger on the hospital workers and mentioned that motion needs to be taken in opposition to the hospital. While Naguasked whose fault it was that Girijamma was declared lifeless.
