An earthquake of 3.8 magnitude hit the western a part of Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday afternoon, an official bulletin stated.
A report by National Center for Seismology revealed that the most recent quake was recorded at 12.12 p.m., epicentered at West Kameng, close to Bhutan border, at a depth of 10 km.
Tremors had been felt in central-north Assam and jap a part of Bhutan.
There was no fast report of any harm to anybody or injury to property officers stated.
The North-eastern area falls in excessive seismic zone, making earthquakes a frequent phenomenon there.
