Ashwani Kumar has been appointed because the new MD and CEO of city-based public sector UCO Bank with impact from June 1.
Prior to this, he was the manager director of the state-owned Indian Bank and is a certified chartered accountant, the general public sector lender stated in an announcement on Saturday.
Mr. Kumar, an skilled banker, succeeds S.S. Prasad because the MD and CEO of UCO Bank.
He had earlier labored in Bank of Baroda, Corporation Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Punjab National Bank and Indian Bank.
