Continuing their dominance, Indian archers stormed into the finals of the recurve and compound combined pair sections within the ongoing Asia Cup Stage 2 World Ranking Tournament on Thursday.
Indian archers have thus made finals in all of the 10 sections within the continental showpiece.
The second-seeded combined pair duo of Mrinal Chauhan and Sangeeta, who received a bye into quarterfinals, defeated Hong Kong 6-0 (37-32, 34-33, 36-34) in straight units earlier than eliminating Uzbekistan 5-4 (36-37, 36-35, 39-36, 37-39) within the semifinals.
The Indian recurve combined pair will take on their opponents from China within the gold medal conflict on Friday.
In a small five-nation discipline within the compound combined part, the duo of Abhishek Verma and Parneet Kaur pipped Iraq by a slender 152-151 margin to maneuver into the ultimate.
The duo received a bye into the semifinals by advantage of topping the qualification spherical. Verma and Parneet will face Kazakhstan within the gold medal conflict on Friday.
