Asian Youth Rapid Chess Championship: India Begins Campaign With Four gold, Three Silver, Two Bronze

India bagged 4 gold, three silver and two bronze medals on the Asian Youth Rapid Championship in Al Ain, UAE.

Bhagyashree Patil (U-18, ladies), Sapariya Ghosh (U-14 ladies), Muhammad Shyan Naushae Ibrahim (U-8 boys) and Sharvannica (U-8 ladies) clinched gold medals for India.

The three silver medals had been gained by Sheralli Patnaik (U-8 ladies), Arit Kapil (U-8 boys) and Kiyana Parihar (U-8 ladies).

Cera Dagariya and Divi Bijesh grabbed bronze medals within the Under-16 ladies’ class.

The classical occasion started on Thursday and the Indian contingent has 60 gamers.
