AFSPA extension in Assam: The Assam authorities has extended the disturbed space notification below the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) for one more six months in eight districts of the state from April one subsequent.
The disturbed space tag has been extended for Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Charaideo, Sivasagar, Jorhat, Golaghat, Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao, in keeping with a notification, issued by the state residence and political division, launched to the media at the moment (March 29).
