Earlier, within the first phase of assembly elections within the state, which was held on March 27, over 47 constituencies went for polls to resolve the destiny of 264 candidates in Assam. The first phase additionally noticed a minimum of 81 lakh voters at polling cubicles, which accounted for over 73 % of voter turnout.
