BJP booth committee president stabbed to death in Assam
A BJP booth committee president was stabbed to death in Assam’s Tinsukia district by one individual, who has already been arrested, police stated on Saturday. According to a senior police officer, the incident came about on Friday night time at No 1 Doomdooma Nagaon village beneath Bordumsa police station of the district.
After a minor altercation, one Jay Chandra Gogoi a number of occasions stabbed BJP member Deba Gogoi, who died of the damage, police stated.
The accused was later arrested and additional investigation is on, he added.
Meanwhile, the Tinsukia Information and Public Relations Officer stated in a press release that there isn’t a political angle in the homicide and appealed to the folks to preserve peace.

Meanwhile, BJP Assam President Ranjeet Kumar Dass condemned the incident and demanded strict motion in opposition to the wrongdoer.
The deceased was the president of the committee of the No 20 booth of Burhidihing Gaon panchayat beneath Margherita Assembly constituency, which goes for polls in the primary section on March 27.Â
