Assembly Elections 2021: Stage Set For Polling In TN, Kerala & Puducherry; Assam & Bengal Up For 3rd Phase

The stage is about for enormous polling for meeting elections throughout 5 states – West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry. The day will witness voting on as many as 475 meeting seats in complete. While Southern states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will all go in a single section and wrap up voting tomorrow, West Bengal and Assam will conduct the third section of polling on Tuesday, April 6. 

In Bengal, polling has already been executed for 60 seats within the first two phases carried out on March 27 and April 1. The subsequent set of 31 seats will go for voting on Tuesday whereas the remaining 203 might be up for voting within the subsequent 5 phases. In this section of elections, the 31 seats are unfold over three districts – eight in Hooghly, seven in Howrah and 16 in South 24 Parganas. In Assam, 40 seats will go for voting within the third and closing leg of Assembly elections 2021. There are 6 seats reserved for STs and two for SCs.
