The outrage over the suicide of an assistant professor Balwinder Kaur in Ropar, Punjab intensified in the state after the deceased’s household and the Akali Dal staged protests in opposition to the state Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains. As protests stepped up, the state police on Tuesday added the minister’s title to the DDR (Daily Diary Report).

Minister’s title appeared in suicide word
A suicide word was recovered from the deceased in which she had reportedly named the Education Minister’s angle as one of many causes of her suicide. Kaur staged protest earlier than suicide

Bains named in DDR following protests
