The Minister had first introduced his plan to simplify issues for athletes and National Sports Federations (NSFs) in the course of the National Sports Day on August 29 final yr.
On February 29, the Minister stated, “Keeping up with our policy of ‘athlete-first’, NSFs have been advocated to issue certificates to athletes via DigiLocker, an initiative of Ministry of Electronics and IT.” He stated the digital certificates will add a brand new side to sports activities administration and administration of sportspersons.

This, he said, would streamline the certificate issuance process and reduce administrative burden.
