The Haas Formula One workforce have protested in opposition to Nico Hulkenberg’s seventh-place end on the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday after late purple flags threw the race into confusion, the governing FIA stated.

The Haas driver lined up seventh on the grid for the second restart, for a two-lap dash to determine the winner however he moved as much as fourth as automobiles crashed out in the primary lap.

The crashes triggered the third and remaining purple flag.

After prolonged deliberations, stewards determined the race would end in accordance with grid positions on the restart with a lap behind a security automotive minus the automobiles that had crashed.

That meant Hulkenberg completed seventh, in accordance with the race’s provisional classification.

Two-time defending champion Max Verstappen raced to the chequered flag forward of Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes, who got here in second.

He was adopted to the end line by Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso, who clinched his third podium in three races this season.
