“Irrespective of which religion you belong to, I strongly urge everyone to end this greed of dowry. Harassing a woman is not ‘mardangi’ (manhood). The 23-year-old girl who ended her life was tortured for dowry which eventually led her to take such drastic step. The family should be ashamed of forcing her to take such action,” Owaisi said while addressing a rally.
“What kind of men are these? Is there no humanity left in them? They beat up the women in their house and pretend to be good in the outside world. Just remember, you cannot cheat Allah.” he added.
