All banks, be it personal or public sector, will be closed for 12 days in May all through the nation, in accordance to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) vacation calendar list.
The COVID-19 pandemic has already pressured banks to reduce brief it is working hours and employees attendance to 50%. These holidays have been notified by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) underneath three brackets — the Negotiable Instruments Act, Holiday, Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.
The banks may also stay closed on the second and the fourth Saturdays in May and 4 Sundays. The banks may also function from 10 AM to 2 PM, as per the brand new pointers.
