Bathinda: An Army jawan has been arrested in connection with the killing of 4 soldiers on the Bathinda Military Station.
According to Bathinda Senior Superintendent of Police Gulneet Singh Khurana, the jawan was recognized as Desai Mohan and was arrested on Monday. “The motive was personal. He had enmity with them.”
Notably, 4 soldiers had been killed in their sleep in firing contained in the army station in Bathinda on April 12.
An FIR was lodged in this connection on the Bathinda Cantonment police station beneath part 302 (homicide) of the Indian Penal Code and related sections of the Arms Act in opposition to two unidentified individuals.
Desai was thought-about an eye-witness in the case
It was Desai Mohan who had stated that he noticed two unidentified males in white kurta-pyjama, their faces and heads lined with fabric, popping out of the barracks after the firing.
One of them was carrying an INSAS rifle and the opposite an axe, the jawan had stated in the police FIR.
The Bathinda army station is one of the most important Army bases in the nation and contains a big quantity of operational items of the drive.
