BCCI announces full schedule of IPL 2024, Chennai to host final, Ahmedabad gets two playoff games

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has introduced the schedule for the rest of the Indian Premier League 2024. The schedule has been introduced for the entire 74 matches of the match.

The IPL 2024 last will happen on the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, whereas the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad gets two playoff games – Qualifier 1 and Eliminator on May 21 and 22, respectively. Notably, Chepauk will host the Qualifier 2 and the showdown conflict on May 24 and 26, respectively. Notably, the match can be fully held in India and no games will happen overseas as earlier confirmed by BCCI secretary Jay Shah.

The defending Champions Chennai Super Kings will resume the match on April 8, instantly a day after the primary section (introduced in February) finishes. CSK will host Kolkata Knight Riders in an evening match on April 8. Notably, Dharamsala may even get to host a pair of matches of Punjab Kings – one can be in opposition to CSK on May 5, whereas the opposite one can be in opposition to RCB on May 9. Guwahati, the second venue of Rajasthan Royals, may even get to host a pair of games – one in opposition to Punjab on May 15 and the opposite in opposition to Kolkata Knight Riders on May 19. The RR vs KKR sport on May 19 may even be the ultimate league sport of the match.

CSK and Gujarat Titans had been the two finalists of the earlier version of the match and it was anticipated that the house venues of these two groups would get to host the playoffs together with the ultimate. Chepauk additionally hosted the match opener on March 22.  

The Indian Board had earlier launched an preliminary schedule for the primary two weeks of the match due to the overall elections within the nation.
