Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (KIAB) on Friday (March 12) introduced the opening of the nation’s first dedicated express cargo terminal, which might assist the non-public airport operator to deal with over 25 per cent extra cargo yearly.

This is a first-of-its-kind warehousing facility at an Indian airport, which has been designed and built-to-suit, providing operators with streamlined operational workflows the availability for future enlargement, it stated. Stating that the mechanised truck docks will allow faster acceptance and supply of freight, it stated the terminal, with dedicated house for every operator, is anticipated to enhance throughput and caters to the wants of the burgeoning business.
