BIAL ties up 45.9 MW solar-wind power supply for Bengaluru airport

Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions (CleanMax) and Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) have signed a 25-year long-term power buy settlement for the technology and supply of renewable power from a 45.9 MW solar-wind captive power mission below a SPV named Clean Max BIAL Renewable Energy Private Limited.

The partnership is an enlargement of the prevailing relationship between CleanMax and BIAL.

The captive power mission has been set up in a solar-wind farm at Jagaluru in Karnataka, that’s owned and operated by CleanMax. The farm has 36 MW of photo voltaic power and 9.9 MW of wind power vegetation.

The initiative will yield roughly 90 GWh of renewable power yearly with a CO2 discount of 642 lakh kg [64,200 metric tonnes]. This is equal to planting roughly 11 lakh bushes yearly.

The Jagaluru wind-solar farm in Karnataka has a complete capability of 290 MW and is predicted to chop down roughly 54,88,000 tonnes of CO2 equal.
