The Bidar police on Friday detained three residents of Maharashtra and seized round 141 kg of silver objects value ₹1.02 crore from the car at Wanmarpalli check-post in Aurad taluk of Bidar district.
Election vigilance group throughout random checking on the check-post stopped a automobile coming from Degloor in Nanded district of Maharashtra getting into Karnataka at Warmanpalli check-post.
During the search, the vigilance group recovered eight baggage of silver objects together with anklets and toe rings, stuffed within the boot house of the automobile and handed them over to police.
The police have recognized the detained as Gajanan, automobile driver; and Anil Rameshrao and Rahul Mahadevrao, all native of Karanja Lad in Washim district of Maharashtra.
