Bihar: 5 of family charred to death in house fire
In a tragic incident, 5 members of a family, together with 4 minors, had been charred to death when a fire broke out in their house in Bihar’s Kishanganj on Monday, officers stated. All the 5 had been asleep when the fire erupted at their residence in Salam colony at round 3 am, sub-divisional Justice of the Peace Shahnawaz Ahmad Niyazi stated.
“Noor Alam and his two daughters Tauhfa, Babli and sons Rahmat and Shahid were burnt to death when the fire broke out at their house. His wife with burn injuries has been admitted to a hospital,” the SDM stated.
On receiving data, fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire, he stated.
Sub-divisional police officer Anwar Javed Ansari stated an investigation has been initiated, and the explanation behind the fire incident couldn’t be ascertained.
Bodies had been despatched to the Sadar hospital for postmortem, he stated.
“We are investigating the matter. The exact reason behind the incident could be known once the probe is completed,” the SDPO stated.
