Bihar Govt Officials Including A Woman Attacked By Sand Mining Goons; 44 Held


New Delhi: Sand mafia goons on Monday afternoon attacked a Mines Department workforce and brutally thrashed a feminine mining inspector on the banks of the Sone river in Bihar’s Patna district, in keeping with police. The mining workforce found that the sand mafia was overloading vans close to Parev village, so a workforce from the Mines Department and Bihta police went there to examine. However, the workforce was attacked by sand mafias and truck drivers. The police and Mines Department fled after they noticed the assailants outnumbered them, however the lady official was not so lucky and collapsed.

The attackers beat her with batons and pelted her with stones. Soon after, a lot of law enforcement officials led by SP, City, West arrived on the scene and chased the mafia members away. According to the Patna police official spokesperson, 44 individuals have been arrested in reference to the assault.

“We have registered three separate FIRs in Bihta police station in connection with the incident and investigation is currently underway. We have arrested 44 accused in this connection,” the spokesperson mentioned.

Reacting to the incident, RJD chief Shivanand Tiwari mentioned that his govt has taken cognizance of the incident. CM Nitish Kumar has instructed the involved officers to establish the individuals seen within the viral video & take acceptable motion in opposition to the culprits.
