Bihar Lockdown Extended: The Bihar Government on Thursday prolonged the continuing lockdown within the state until May 25 after contemplating its optimistic impression within the state.

Bihar Chief minister Nitish Kumar, who made the announcement after taking inventory of the Covid scenario within the state throughout a gathering together with his ministers and officers, stated the federal government has determined to increase the lockdown additional.

“The status of the lockdown implemented in Bihar was reviewed today along with associate ministers and officials. The positive effect of the lockdown is visible. Therefore, it has been decided to extend the lockdown in Bihar for the next 10 days i.e. from May 16 to 25, 2021,” he stated in a tweet posted in Hindi.

This comes because the Covid-19 optimistic instances had fallen under the ten,000 mark in Bihar for the primary time after 22 days final night. Around 9,863 individuals had examined optimistic for the virus, based on the state’s well being division.

The Covid-19 optimistic instances have been above the ten,000 mark throughout April 19 to May 11 interval.

In view of the surge in Covid-19 instances, the Bihar Government had earlier prolonged the lockdown from May 5 until May 15.
