Bihar police inspector killed by mob in West Bengal

Kishanganj police station in-charge in Bihar, Ashwini Kumar, was killed on Saturday morning by a mob in West Bengal when a police group reached there to arrest the accused in a theft case in Pantapara village, close to Goalpokhar police station space bordering Bihar’s Kishanganj district.

A police official stated SHO Ashwini Kumar had arrived at a village close to Dheksara to arrest the accused in the police investigation in a motorbike theft incident close to the Sadar police station space. The individuals dwelling right here stated the accused’s house was at Pantapara village in West Bengal.

The police group was surrounded by the locals as quickly as they reached the village. People from close by areas additionally gathered there, following which the police group tried to save lots of themselves from the mob. The police station in-charge was killed on the spot in an assault by the mob.

Confirming the incident, Purnia Inspector General of Police, Suresh Kumar Chaudhary, stated the physique has been taken by the police and despatched for autopsy. The deceased police official was a resident of Janakinagar in Purnia. district. Police rushed to the spot after the incident. Chaudhary stated raids are being performed to nab the accused.
