Senior BJP chief Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday accused Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of viewing society via the “prism of caste, creed and religion”. His remark comes amid protests led by the BJP in opposition to the CM over his assertion on the slogan ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai.’

Earlier on Monday, Vijayan, addressing a rally organised by the CPI(M) in Malappuram in opposition to the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), had stated the slogans ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Jai Hind’ have been first raised by two Muslims and requested whether or not the Sangh Parivar could be able to abandon them.
