BJP announces 4 candidates from Haryana, fields Ranjit Chautala from Hisar

The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) on Sunday launched the fifth listing of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, scheduled to happen from April 19. The get together has fielded Ranjit Chautala from Hisar whereas industrialist Naveen Jindal will contest from Kurukshetra. 

Haryana is about to witness polling in a single part on May 25 for the much-awaited common elections. The Election Commission on March 16 introduced the dates for the 18th General Elections within the nation. The counting of votes will happen on June 4. 

Here is the total listing of candidates from Haryana: 

  1. Kurukshetra – Naveen Jindal
  2. Hisar – Ranjit Chautala
  3. Sonipat – Mohan Lal Badoli
  4. Rohtak – Arvind Kumar Sharma

Earlier within the day, Industrialist and former Congress MP Jindal and Independent MLA from Haryana Ranjit Chautala joined the BJP. Jindal represented Kurukshetra in Lok Sabha between 2004 and 2014 as a Congress MP. Chautala, 78, joined the BJP at an occasion in Haryana’s Sirsa. He is a minister within the BJP-led Haryana authorities. He is former deputy prime minister Devi Lal’s son and the brother of Indian National Lok Dal chief and former Haryana chief minister Om Prakash Chautala.

BJP MP from Hisar Brijendra Singh not too long ago resigned from the get together’s major membership and the Lok Sabha and joined the Congress. Of the ten parliamentary seats in Haryana, Sitting MPs from Sonipat, Karnal and Sirsa haven’t been re-nominated. Karnal MP Sanjay Bhatia made manner for former chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar whom the get together has fielded from the seat. 

The Election Commission mentioned 102 constituencies will go for polls within the first part on April 19, adopted by 89 constituencies within the second part on April 26. The third part can be held on May 7, the fourth on May 13, the fifth on May 20, the sixth on May 25 and the seventh and the final part on June 1. In the primary part, 102 constituencies will go for polls, 89 constituencies within the second part, 94 constituencies within the third, 96 within the fourth part, 49 within the fifth part, 57 within the sixth part and 57 within the seventh part.
