The BJPs West Bengal president Dilip Ghosh on Friday confronted protests from a bit of celebration staff at Chuchura, who alleged that turncoats had been accountable for the saffron brigade’s poor exhibiting within the meeting election in Hooghly district. They demanded that the celebration management take away two senior BJP leaders of Hooghly, together with the district president, from their posts.
Ghosh listened to the grievances of the protesters, who claimed that turncoats from the TMC got BJP tickets for the meeting elections, whereas those that have toiled for the celebration for years had been ignored.
When one of the protesters alleged that Trinamool Goons attacked celebration staff in connivance with these two leaders, Ghosh stated, “Everybody is getting beaten up. Even I was beaten up.” The TMC management in Hooghly claimed that the BJP is in a state of disarray.
Protests had erupted earlier than the meeting elections in Hooghly and in addition in Kolkata over the celebration giving ballot ticket to Rabindranath Bhattacharjee from Singur a day after he joined the saffron brigade leaving the TMC, of which he was a four-time MLA from the constituency. The seat was received by TMC candidate and Bhattacharjee’s bete noire Becharam Manna.
