A video has gone viral during which an Uttar Pradesh BJP MLA is purportedly proven asking a villager to allegedly swear that the person had voted for the saffron get together, when the legislator was requested to set up lights in his dwelling.

In the video that went viral on Monday, Veer Vikram Singh (Prince), the MLA from Katra Assembly constituency in Shahjahanpur, was addressing a tree plantation programme held lately and itemizing the event works achieved by him when a villager had requested him to set up lights at his dwelling.

To this, the legislator stated, “You swear both pointing in direction of river Ganga or by your son and say that you’ve voted for us (BJP), and I’ll get the lights put in at your property. You anticipate one thing from an individual, whom you’ve gotten given one thing.”

As the villager said that he was just making a request, the BJP MLA replied, “Request that person, whom you had given something. Had you given (me your vote), you would have the right to stand on my chest. Don’t try to fool me. My father has been a four-time MLA. I am an MLA.”

“Do you suppose that I don’t know what number of votes I’ve obtained at every sales space. You might have complained, if you happen to had voted for me, and I had not offered you lights,” the legislator further said in the video.
