Pune: BJP Lok Sabha member from Pune Girish Bapat handed away at a hospital on Wednesday, celebration sources stated. He was ailing for the final one-and-a-half years. The 72-year-old BJP chief was admitted to the ICU of Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in essential situation and was on life help.
“Today is a sad day. BJP’s senior leader and Pune Lok Sabha MP Girish Bapat has left us today. He passed away in a hospital. For the last one and half years, he was undergoing treatment,” stated Jagdish Mulik, BJP metropolis unit president.
He stated Bapat’s final rites will probably be carried out at Vaikunth crematorium on Wednesday night. Bapat had served because the MLA 5 occasions from the Kasba Peth constituency. He was elected to Lok Sabha in 2019.
