BJP releases first list of 189 candidates for Karnataka Assembly elections

A.T.Ramaswamy, who just lately joined BJP, has been denied ticket in Arakalgud. Yoga Ramesh will contest.

Housing Minister V. Somanna is to struggle former Chief Minister and Congress chief Siddaramaiah from Varuna. Somanna may even struggle from Chamarajnagar.

Six time MLA from Sullia (SC) in Dakshina Kannda and Minister for Fisheries, Ports and Inland Water Transport S Angara not given ticket. He is changed by Bhagirathi Murulya.
