New Delhi: Asserting it’s “against humanity if any patient suffers due to lack of oxygen” whereas battling Covid-19, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday accused Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of taking part in petty politics over availability of oxygen in Delhi.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra requested as to why the Centre would undertake a unique method in direction of Delhi if the ruling dispensation may give oxygen to Maharashtra and different states.

“It’s against humanity if any patient suffers due to lack of oxygen. But there should be no politics over it. If the Government of India can give oxygen to Maharashtra and other states, why do you (Delhi Govt) think that GoI is adopting a different approach towards Delhi?” ANI quoted Patra as saying.

Launching a vitriolic assault on the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government in Delhi, the BJP chief alleged “Kejriwal spent Rs 804.93 crores on advertisements since 2015 but did not open a single hospital during his seven-year rule”.

“Before forming his government, Kejriwal had promised to add 30,000 new hospital beds,” added Patra.

The BJP chief’s outburst got here as Kejriwal earlier said Delhi has solely 5 days of vaccine stock left and underlined the need for additional doses i.e. 85 lakh each month for the next three months.
