NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh, who walked out of jail after practically six months earlier this week, addressed a press convention on Friday. Alleging that senior leaders of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) have been concerned within the Delhi Excise Policy rip-off, Singh mentioned that the saffron get together hatched a conspiracy and arrested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He advised reporters, “Today, I am present here in front of you to tell you how the conspiracy was made to arrest Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal…I will also reveal that this liquor scam has been done by the BJP. The senior leaders of BJP are involved in this.”
Aiming BJP, Singh mentioned, “A person named, Magunta Reddy, who had given 3 statements, and his son Raghav Magunta gave 7 statements. On 16th September, when ED first asked him (Magunta Reddy) whether he knew Arvind Kejriwal, he told the truth and said that he met Arvind Kejriwal but in the matter of charitable trust land. But after that, his son was arrested and after 5 months of keeping him in jail, his father changed his statement.”
“From 10th February to 16th July, seven statements of Raghav Magunta were taken. In six of the seven statements, he does not say anything against Arvind Kejriwal, but in the seventh statement on 16th July, he changes his stance and becomes a part of the conspiracy and gives a statement against Arvind Kejriwal. After 5 months of torture, he changed his statement and stood against Arvind Kejriwal,” Singh added additional.Â
“The most shocking thing is that those six statements (of Raghav Magunta) and two statements of his father were removed and the ED told us that we do not trust it,” he mentioned. Further accusing the central probing company of eradicating statements that weren’t towards the Delhi CM, Singh mentioned, “The 9 statements that were not against Arvind Kejriwal were removed by ED.”
“In these 9 statements, there was no name of Arvind Kejriwal but after 5 months of jail, they were forced to take Arvind Kejriwal’s name. ED also conducted raids on Magunta Reddy and Raghav Magunta. Magunta Reddy also has a picture with PM Modi. He gave a statement against Arvind Kejriwal and AAP on 16th July and he was given bail on 18th July,” he advised press.Â
“There is a person Sarath Reddy, whose residence was raided on 9th November 2022. When he was asked if he knew Arvind Kejriwal, he denied it and said that he had never met him. 12 statements of Sarath Reddy were recorded and he was arrested on 10th November and kept in jail for a total of six months till 25th April,” Singh mentioned.
“After six months, when he was asked to give a statement otherwise his life would rot in jail, he broke down…On April 25, he stated Kejriwal. Regarding the ten statements which were not against Kejriwal, ED said that it is not trusted and he got bail for his statement against Arvind Kejriwal,” he continued.
A day after his launch, Singh supplied prayers on the Hanuman temple in Connaught Place. After he visited the temple, he mentioned he prayed for good sense to prevail over the BJP-led Central authorities. He additional paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. Hours after his launch from Tihar jail on Wednesday evening, Singh met Sunita Kejriwal, the spouse of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
